review 1: There were exactly ZERO redeeming qualities about Kieta. I dreaded her book, and while forcing myself to finish reading, disliked her character from beginning to end. She really was so disappointing in her stupidity (and I DID find her to be stupid, a knowledge about poisons and their uses does not make an intelligent person). I really wanted Ragnar to run away and find someone worthy of him. Even as he started 'falling' for Keita, I still rooted for him to run far far away. Her conceited behavior was not cute, funny, or endearing, it was just a frustration until I could turn the page and FINALLY read from another characters perspective. The only reason I was able to finish reading this one was because of the continuation of the side characters and their story developm... moreents.
review 2: When I read the previous teaser about Keita I expect to get her get more tough up but then she actually have been kicked from the training hall. But then when I know what she did all this time well, I can't get hate her no more. But still I think Morfyd is worth to have her own book too!! And G.A Aiken, like always, make half of this book tell story that not only about her main hero and heroine but also all of their kin! I think the story of Keita is not over yet. And I'm waiting the day Ragnar will claim her. Btw, I really curious is Brastias success in getting chain of beathag...cos there is no mention about it. That is why I still think Morfyd need to get her own book!!! less
