review 1: This book is likely to change my life. I hate self-help books. I really do. With their condescending "I'm so much more wise and introspective than you" attitudes. LLAFF is completely different. Blunt yet compassionate life lessons intermixed with real examples from his own life. It's like sitting on the couch with your best friend and talking until the sun comes up. I just finished this book, but I suspect I will read it many, many times over. Share this book with everyone you know who is struggling to hold on to perspective, and maybe even those who aren't.
review 2: A very inspiring and affirming gem of a book. A friend of mine who recently stayed the night with me after some family conflict told me about this book and sent it to me as a thank you gift, simp... morely for allowing her to sleep on my couch for the night. As the author warns, we can read only so many spiritual or self-help books before it is up to us to live the lessons they teach (suggest?). I will read this book again! less
