review 1: I found the book interesting. It is a look at "Atlantis", and the fact that the story is based on Santorini/Thera and the culture of the Minoans. That I accept with little credulity. Some of the other things may very well be true, but are harder to believe. That the Minoans literally sailed all around the world, trading and mining and colonizing. From India to Africa to North America.Made for an interesting read.
review 2: I have read Gavin Menzies before. The previous books were theories that not accepted by mainstreal historians. This book puts forth a theory that has not been accepted by mainstream historians but has a lot of support. I have heard a lot of these theories before. This book does a good job of bring thiem altogether.I enjoyed the book. I ... moreenjoyed hearing the authour describe his travels as he investigated each of the areas that he believed the Minoans traveled.I hope that this help in solving the mystery of Atlantis. less
