review 1: He is a marvelous storyteller. I only gave 4 stars because the books leave you with a depressed feeling, where everything seems hopeless for the characters. And, in fact, it is, as so many main characters are killed off or left in terrible situations and you have to wait for the next book to come out to find out more. There is a bit too much fighting for my liking, but his descriptions of everything, fights included, are so well written.
review 2: Well, this series carried me through an entire summer of reading. It was captivating, exciting, and often left you angry with the things that happened to many of the characters. It was really helpful to have maps and character lists in each of the books in order to keep relationships organized. Love the HBO s
... moreeries and have watched all that have been released. I was so disappointed to reach the last page and discover that its long from over and now want the author to get moving on the next release. There is too much lust and sex for young readers but young adults on will not be offended. I was also pleased with the casting of characters for the TV series. less
