review 1: I flew through this smoking hot story at break neck speed. This story grabs your attention in the first paragraph with the highly detailed descriptions of hot sweaty soldiers openly bathing in a horse trough. Suffice to say, I got a good visual. Anyway, the writing is quick and funny and Jiselle is quite the little saucy minx. Remy doesn’t stand a chance with her pursuit of him. She leaves him and when he awakens he believes he’s been visited by a pixie. The plot thickens when Remy’s brother Renard comes to retrieve his bride. And Remy admits to his (multiple) dalliances with her. Now Renard ask her to make a choice between the two men. Her response, I can’t make a choice I haven’t had you yet. Well there you have it, the gauntlet is thrown down, and it is quic... morekly picked up and so does the pace my friend. A little Ménage à trois does go a long way.
review 2: Jisella has been sent away to a convent by her Saxon father. He has plans to use Jisella in his political aspirations, by arranging her marriage to a Norman. Jisella wishing to escape the convent attempts to convince a Norman knight, Remy, to take her away with him by offering up her virginity. Jisella has always believed the her “Ever Knight”, her soul mate, would come someday and save her from this imprisonment. She believes this Remy is her “Ever Knight” but she is already promised to another Norman. Jisella finds out the her “Ever Knight” is actually the ½ brother to her betrothed, Renard. Things really get confusing when her betrothed shows up to claim her and he might be her “Ever Knight” as well.This is a very steamy and hot erotic short story. It is a little choppy. Jisella’s actions are somewhat unbelievable, being a convent raised virgin from this historical time period ... I don’t feel she would have had a sexual clue. But with that all being said, it was engaging, sexually charged and had a pretty good storyline for a short. 3 1/2 Stars less
