review 1: Je m'attendais à mieux. L'histoire est au final très classique, et j'ai eu quelques difficultés à le terminer (cela m'a fait penser à la chick lit , rien de neuf sous le soleil). Certains passages font sourire mais la romance est très superficielle, et Chloé qui était attachante au départ devient agaçante : elle parle beaucoup mais n'agit pas, elle a besoin d'être assistée sans arrêt (par exemple avec le client insupportable où elle se dit "si j'étais un homme je lui aurait dit ma façon de penser", pas besoin d'être un homme pour ça!). En fait, ce que j'ai préféré dans cet ouvrage ce sont les remerciements de l'auteur, qui pour le coup étaient plus émouvants que l'histoire!
review 2: This was pretty standard romantic comedy fare – quirk... morey heroine, hot guy, loyal friends, etc. It’s actually eerie how much it read like a script for a movie or TV show. I had some big problems with the way Julie and her friends were portrayed when they interacted with each other (believe it or not, single women do occasionally discuss things other than men), and the ending was a little ridiculous, though not unexpectedly so. But hey, in the end it was a goofy, fun, easy read. less
