review 1: 1 starI was so excited to read this but then..I saw that it was written in 3rd person so I was kind of hesitant to read it, but I read it anyway...The writing style was okay, the plot was okay, the story's not that exciting, no funny scenes, no heavy drama... So back to the writing style.. I do read novels written in 3rd Person but it's rare for me to be impressed with it. I didn't feel detached to the characters, but I also didn't feel attached to them. That's one of the reason why 3rd Person POV is not my thing, if you're not really good at it, you're creating this huge ass barrier between the characters and the reader...

... moreoth the H/h have issues, but I wasn't too convinced about Dillon's 180 degree sudden turnaround and the piss-poor excuse he makes about being his father's son that seems to be an apparently good enough reason for his flagrant lifestyle. Can't blame the heroine for fleeing when the cards didn't fall the way she expected. Alyssa's daddy problems made more sense to me and maybe it was the POV in the writing that I felt for her more than I did for Dillon. (My confession? I'm not a great fan of the reformed-playboy-cliche that abounds in chick lit) less
