review 1: I decided i'd give this book a go when I saw it in the kindle sale as it seemed to be in a similar genre to Jodi Picoult, who I didn't think i'd like until I was given a book of hers as a gift. Once again with 'A Sister's Gift' I was pleasantly surprised. Although the subject matter is not something that would normally appeal to me it was well written and I wanted to find out what would happen, and what had previously happened to the characters.
review 2: With it's quick and funny dialogues this is a rather easy read. I particularly liked the fact that both main characters had serious flaws - not necessary likeable but still realistic - even though some aspects were quite overrated. The surrogacy thing was interesting, along with the emotional side of it. How
... moreever, the 'spiritual' aspect of the novel was a bit (well, way too) much for me, especially at end - or that bit about the balloon.. (made me vomit in my mouth a little). So, all in all: I enjoyed reading it, was keen on finishing the story but it turned out to be slightly disappointed. less
