Hard as it may be to believe from this blog, I do occasionally listen to music other than Prince–sometimes even stuff from later than 1989! But when I hear about new music that sounds a little like Prince, that pretty much guarantees that I’ll check it out. That’s how I found out about the Inglewood, California-via-Bay Area artist Harriet Brown, who captures the ineffably weird side of His Royal Badness better than any other artist in recent memory.
