review 1: Our classroom has been reading Why is Snot Green? by Glenn Murphy. We think you should read this book because it is very educating. It has a lot of fun facts, you can learn a lot from it and it is really great for 7-35 year olds to read. We learned so many fun facts about space, future, animals and people. We even learned why snot is green. We won't spoil it for you so you will have to read this book to figure out the answer. The whole book is a boy and a scientist talking back and forth. The genre of this book is expository so it is true. We hope your teacher reads this to your classroom and that you enjoy all of the facts that we read!
review 2: This book was an excellent book of facts about Space and the Human Body. It is written in a way that makes
... morethe reader want to read more. It has a question, then it answers the question for the reader. Some of the questions are fun and silly, like "why do we burp", which children love. I thought this was an excellent book to use with my year 4 guided reading group. There were lots of questions, that the children wanted to ask that were not covered, and also the children could design their own front covers and fact sheets using the facts that were in the book. There is also an index at the end of the book, which is useful for younger children who are new to information books. I would use this book with years 3 and 4. less
