review 1: This was a wonderful, historical fiction story about a girl dreaming of becoming a librarian in a fine brick library. After all, she loved books and people! She studied hard and read almost all of the books in the college's big library. Then, she fell in love and moved with her new husband to a farm in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. Still dreaming of being a librarian, she and her friends who loved to read, worked to raise money for a rolling library. She touched many lives.
