review 1: I neither like, not dislike this book. It simply existed for me and I will forget it quickly. I wouldn't recommend it because there are far better books out there. At best, it's a "beach day" book, where it could be useful only if you need something to do while you spend a day at the beach. I'm very surprised it has such a high overall rating on GR, even more surprised that it came recommended in the Deseret News as one of the best books of last year. It also had too much talk about sex for my taste. It never actually happened but it was casually brought up in conversation quite a bit. 2.7 stars. review 2: I enjoyed this very much. In the beginning it was laugh out loud but it is a bit of a one joke book and despite the fact that it was in big print with big m... moreargins, it just needed to be a small book. I don't know why books have to be padded out so that they seem "substantial" when they aren't. it was a funny idea to have a first person narrative by an Aspergers man, who doesn't know he has it. So as the reader, although it is told in 1st person, you actually know more that Don Tillman does about what people mean when they say things to him. Of course it is an obvious romantic comedy and it is obvious that Don and Rosie will end up together despite the fact that she doesn't fit any of his criteria for a life partner. But like so many books - it went on too long and the jokes wore thin. Still a good read. less
