review 1: It all depends on how much of a cule you are; most of the information in the book is general knowledge (at least if you've followed Barca since at least 2008-2009). There are a few less-known stories (stemming from Hunter's direct interaction with the players as journalist) but overall it feels like a copy-paste job. Oh, and I hated the author's clumsy attempts to invent relevant nicknames for Barca's players (forced comparisons like "odd couple of the back line" - Pique & Puyol, "Mister Style" - Alves, "The Enforcer" - Busquets etc).
review 2: It's biased as hell, and there were parts that I skimmed over. Overall though an engaging read and good reference. A love letter to their style and vision, bittersweet for those days with Pep being over and onto a new ch... moreapter (you never forget your first love, and I fell so hard). Learnt a lot about the history of the club, and ended up falling in love with each of the players at every turn. Can't really have a favourite player now. less
