review 1: I would have given this book a 4 star review because I found it to be a highly entertaining nerd romance, but I also just found out about the allegations of abuse brought up against the author. Our system is innocent until proven guilty, but, sheesh, it doesn’t look or sound good for Sherl. I really enjoyed the book, but I also am hesitant to promote it if the allegations prove true, so I'll hold off on posting any stars. Oprah endorsed it – I wonder what she’ll do.
review 2: This one is a guilty favorite - but not so guilty that I'll neglect adding Gregory Sherl to my favorite authors shortlist. I'm aware of the issues and wish there was more character building, but I love it all the same and I find I identify very strongly not with the message but with... more the writing style/etc, something that has almost never happened to me before in this way. (Not so much spoilers but more like personal droning people don't need to see unless they really want to, haha.) less
