review 1: Loved the writing. Realistic, if quirky, dialogue and just enough distinction between the two main characters (which is hard to do). The story moved along at a good pace so that I just kept reading and enjoying. I guess the story line itself was a bit less interesting to me--maybe because the search for true love and anxiety of ever finding it is a long time ago for me! So, it was a little hard to relate to the turmoil the characters felt. The slight futuristic twist was fun. The good writing overcame the more mundane boy-girl plot.
review 2: I cannot say enough good things about this book! In addition to the original premise, Sherl's writing style is entirely approachable and hysterically funny. Despite a summary that seems to paint the story as a romanc
... moree, this book is truly a comedy with wry and funny observations about current technology and life, and it easily appeals to both male and female readers. I laughed aloud as I read this book in the airport. The characters are easy to identify with and root for - charming and flawed in equal measures. Sherl makes the near-future that he speaks of seem completely plausible. Full marks for this novel and its author! less
