review 1: I went into this book with high expectations because the synopsis seemed so inviting. Unfortunately, the synopsis turned out to be more interesting than the book. Perhaps it was because I was speed reading, but I couldn't identify between Morris and Betty's voices. I just believe that it has so much potential as a full-length novel, detailing the struggles of this all-consuming love. With that said, this book wasn't bad, it was decent but not something I would re-read.
review 2: I'm not rating this because I rushed through it and it wouldn't be fair. Though it's gotta be said that I found it hard to read through. Not hard because of the emotional turmoil caused by the characters-oh, no, but because it was just plain hard to read. I felt disinterested, disconnec... moreted, and I didn't understand much. I even skipped pages, and that's really something I rarely do. Maybe it's just my unreasonable lack of respect of such thin, glossy paged books, but I really couldn't feel interested nor get involved in the book. The summary, or blurb, was really interesting though. And there were definitely parts of the book that kinda tugged at the heartstrings. less
