review 1: In the book "Summer Girls", the author’s purpose in writing the book was to tell a story about finding out who is right for you and who isn't. It's also about getting closer to those who were always there for you, even if you never imagined things being that way. A purpose that wasn't stated directly would be that you need to trust yourself before you can trust others. Also, betting knowing yourself is a huge part of this book.The themes of this book would be trust and believing in yourself. The book shows trust by the characters being able to go to each other when times do get difficult, even if they haven’t known them for long. It would be hard to trust a lot of people in this case, if family and friend problems were all that ever happened in your life. Believi... moreng in yourself is another theme shown in this book because you can’t do much if you aren't able to believe in yourself to do so. Sometimes, your own self is your greatest friend when everything else seems to be going wrong or people who you once trusted, seem to prove you wrong.The style that this book was written in was description. Throughout the book, the author made it possible for you to be able to put yourself in the character’s shoes and experience what they are feeling or going through. This style was effective because it kept your attention instead of making it hard to understand. This style also made it possible to relate to in some ways, making it easier to read.My opinion of the book was that it was very well described and kept with the main point of the book. This book would be good for anyone who enjoys reading books that they can relate to. The part of the book that I liked the most was when the characters were finding out who was there for them and who wasn't because it is able to be related back to real life. Over all, this book was an interesting book to read.
review 2: I chose this book on accednt really I took by accident and then read the first chapter and really liked. The novel "Summer Girls" by Hailey Abbott is about 3 cousins who spend the summer with the rest of their family. They meet boys who they think are the one and fall in love one turns out to be realted to one of them another is a jerk and another is really sweet. I really like the author style of writing it is all over the place and it is a cool way of writing. Their point of veiw is on and off every chapter a diffrent character. I would recommend this book to all girls who love romances. It is one of the best romance book I have read. It is a good read and it is not to easy and not to hard to read and I couldnt put the book down. less
