review 1: Part of me loved this book, for the most part I loved the characters, main and supporting and there's plenty for subsequent books. I loved the story and the ending, the fact that we got both main characters point of view and Chase of course, but then who wouldn't. It was quite a long book which is usually good but in this case I feel it was too long, for me. What I didn't like was firstly I felt there was way too much hot and cold, on and off at one point she mentions his bipolar moments this applies to both of them for me it was over done to death. Also she had a couple of what I refer to as too stupid to live moments. For me the crime should have happened sooner and lasted longer but that's just my opinion. I enjoyed it but don't know if I'd actually buy a book by this a... moreuthor.
review 2: I'm tired of being a grumpy reviewer but I can't help it when I read these kind of stories. Being Chased happens to be Harper Bentley's debut. It would've been pretty amazing if this was the first book I've ever read but since that's not the case, it wasn't that great. I mean I kind of liked the story, I just felt like I've read it a thousand times and I'm here feeling like "Huh? Really?" Julia and Chase both drove me insane. She was extremely childish and same goes to him. They loved to assume things and interrupt each other when one tried to explain a misunderstanding. I was seriously getting dizzy up here. Whenever Chase tried to go all alpha on Julia I wanted to give him a hug and a star with "you tried" written on it.I'm not gonna detail everything that annoyed me because to be honest I could write a book.I will say though the final part was quite entertaining. less
