review 1: 4.5 Stars!Review: This final book in the True Love Trilogy is a few months after Jag and Ellen's break up. They are both still going through a lot of emotions, but anger and hurt seem to be the main ones. Ellen is still hurt that Jag would not see how much his past actions were hurting her - mainly through his unwillingness to fight for her with his agent and the previous situation that he put himself in with the press. Jag couldn't get over the fact that Ellen didn't trust him. They are both trying to move forward at this point, however. Ellen is back home and working as a Physical Therapist with other pro-athlete's and Jag is going through rehabilitation, himself, from his injury at the end of the last season. He gets really amazing news, however, that he gets to move ba... moreck home and play for "his" team. He knows, though, that this means that he will have to face Ellen and figure out, once and for all, if he wants to fight for her, again. Ellen, on the other hand, meets another guy and agrees to go on a date with him. She reasons that she has never been with anyone other than Jag, and she has to do something to get out of her funk. No sooner does she do this, however, than he moves back home. These two are so hard to watch, at that point, as they basically just keep layering hurt and misunderstandings on top of each other to prevent them from working through anything. Jag and Ellen are meant to be together, though. They are that couple that you can't help but to root for because they have put in so much work, and they both care for one another. Just as in the past, though, they have to guard against others that don't want their relationship to succeed. I really liked seeing Jag finally wake up. I think that, just like with any relationship, both of them had a point. Ellen should have trusted Jag, but it might have been easier for her to trust him if he had fought a little harder for her, at times. It just goes to show that communication can definitely go a long way. Jessica
review 2: First of all, never ever wrap yourself in a red ribbon and give it to a special person like it's his birthday. Your body is a temple. You don't give it just because you knew he's already the one. You keep it pure so that when you get married, you won't regret anything. Think of it like the most precious gift you'd want your husband to treasure. I know I'm being a lunatic in here, like murmuring something that most girls have violated and are still continuously doing, but I care!Second of all, save yourself. Really, save yourself from the misery and heartbreak. Empower yourself. Empowerment doesn't mean you have to join Gabriela and fight for women's rights on the streets. You just have to believe and stand up for it. Don't wait for your Mommy to remind you that you are a strong, intelligent woman. And nobody should make you feel less. Don't be such a damsel in distress! Save yourself from looking unpleasant because you cried yourself to sleep. Shed tears for a painful event once. Remember, once is enough for a wise man and a wiser woman. Save yourself by being ridiculously happy and alive, always.Third of all, don't use people. Human beings are not meant to be used. Don't use a person to make another one jealous. That's crazy! Even though that person deserves to be used, you are not cruel enough for that. Use things and ask for favors. Keep friends who are loyal and honest. Friendship is not a means to an end. It should be an end in itself, right? People could be means to an end but don't use them intentionally. Make the world a better place for the ones who struggle in their own battles.This trilogy hasn't thought me anything. It just made me grasp the principles I now possess. Okaaay, it's true love and they are meant to be but... it doesn't have to be like this. less
