review 1: 5 stars from me . . . Wow. Sometimes you read a book and the characters make an impact or make you feel or think . . . This did it for me!! I could not put this down. I stayed up too late, got up only 4 hours later to finish!!! I was FORCED to walk around with my ipad as I mothered my children!!! I let my coffee go cold . . . . . I needed to see Pasha's journey. To see how it would play out . . .what the conversations would be . . . When would he....no spoilering!!!!!! Perhaps I identified a tad too much with one of the characters. Our lives are nothing the same yet they are.....or were. That lead weight of dysfunctional family obligation . . . . Cultural dynamics . . . And that is just Pasha. Daniel. I didn't get to know him as much as Pasha, but . . . Shit. How many ... moreof us have made bad decisions? Great MCsGreat chemistryAdults behaving like adults! Not that they don't make mistakes, they just do not act like petulant teens. Win!!! Pasha's father . . . Wouldn't it be great if more parents acted like this. It isn't easy. It isn't rainbows and unicorns. But dialogue. Great well written BELIEVABLE man. A journey . . . The love for his son made me weep on more than one occasion. **yet another reread for me, need to move this to the 'read an embarrassing number of times' shelf**Thank you H. B. Pattskyn for this story, this journey. I am certain to reread Pasha and Daniel time and time again . . .
review 2: If I should say in one word what I think of this book it would be "realistic". Followed by words like "my new favorite", "wonderful" and other descriptions that made me give out 5 stars. Still, realistic is the major word here: the MC are normal people with normal problems and an in general normal life. And that's really nice for a change, because this way it feels like you could really meet them one day. Pasha and Daniel are totally likeable characters, they make an absolutely adorable couple and since I believe that they truly exist, I cross my fingers that everything turns out the way they want ♥. And I also wouldn't mind a 2nd part that tells us the future of those 2 *hint hint* :) less
