review 1: I really enjoyed this book. I probably wouldn't have chose this book on my own but was gifted it by the author. And now I have a great new author to follow. This story was very well written and kept me wrapped up to the last word. I can't wait to see what comes next in this series and from this great author. Claire is a young woman bound to the devil but that doesn't mean she damned. She is determined to try to do what is right and to challenge her fate. The secrets she uncovers along the way can change everything. These secrets change her outlook on her past present and future. Can she save herself from fate. Must read to see.
review 2: I received this book as a gift from the author.Clair is the devil's assistant. She deals with demons, pagans and humans. When... more she goes to get something for her boss, her whole life turns topsy turvy. She is told that she is going to be the one that changes things. A trip down to Purgatory unlocks some special gifts that had been hidden, but opened up a whole other can of worms.H.D. Smith definitely keeps the reader on their toes. The way she left the ending with some unanswered questions, I hope to see the next book out soon! less
