review 1: Home in Time for Christmas is the story of a man who is pushed from his own time by his sister and ends up in the 21st century. The biggest problem is that he is from the Revolutionary War. Everything he encounters, from electricity to the woman who nearly hits him with her car, is new and exciting. This was not a nail biter of a book. You know it is going to end well and there are really no huge dramatic events. It was a pleasant read though and I enjoyed it. Charming is a good word for it. This book was charming and easy to finish. The characters were a bit one dimensional and crazy but it was fun to see brothers and sisters fight like we all do.
review 2: I liked the overall premise of this book -- one minute Jake is in 1776, the next he is in the 21st
... more century. Time travel, science, herbs, and most unfortunately from my personal convictions as a Christian, witchcraft are listed as possible contributors to everything that transpires. Choosing to ignore any references to the final element I just mentioned, I found the plot and characters to be fun and funny. A quick read. less
