review 1: The main problem with this book: bad narration. Michelle Ford wasn't able to make this story come alive. Her Scottish accent and her male voices were terrible. This is a historical romance with a fantasy twist since our heroine has some healing powers that come from a blue energy ball she's able to create at will. That combination didn't work for me. Their romance wasn't really passionate either so there really wasn't anything good enough to keep my interest.
review 2: It is covers like these that make me hide them - or borrow them from the library in e-reader form so no one has to see them. Despite the heavily abbed man on the cover, it is actually a very sweet romance with a very stereotypical romantic story of a highland chief having to kidnap a fair lass i... moren order to save his clan, and of course they fall madly in love. I really liked the heroine, Meg, who is also somewhat of a witch, or a healer. She is a very sweet character but also brave. less
