review 1: It's Independence Day, and the citizens of Divine get together for a full day of chatting, fun and romance. Readers get to catch up with most of the prior couples in the series, and we get a fun scene with just Charity and Justin, a couple not featured as the primary couple. In addition, Seth and Jayne are introduced and attracted to each other, a new couple.I have to admit I'm not a rereader of books, and as an extension of that I don't enjoy as much books that are a continuation of the same couples in a series, books that are alternate POV of the same couple, reunion books, etc. I guess I just like to read about a couple and then move on, but this book I did like. The introduction of a new set, Seth and Jayne, kept this fresh and interesting, while the bulk of the te... morext was really about past couples and residents of Divine. It wasn't exceedingly short, a good length, and it was fun to briefly revisit the couples. A solid 4-star read.
review 2: I really like these characters but this book was a little too jam packed with characters. It made my head spin with how quickly it jumped from Jayne Grace's cousin to Seth the tattoo artist to Grace to all the other characters from the last ten books. Don't get me wrong I liked the book but I felt like I needed the character list from the beginning of the book right next to me to keep track of the characters. less
