review 1: I read The Reeducation of Savannah McGuire by Heidi McLaughlin. Love me some Southern cowboy. Short stories are always difficult to write and as a reader we are often left feeling like the story was incomplete. Heidi McLaughlin mapped this one out really well. She finished the story for the anthology so that we would get enough out of the characters and the story but she also has the intention of continuing this story to a full length novel. She ended the story in a perfect spot and perfect scene. The story itself was well paced and the storyline it self was full without the reader having to fill in gaps.Tyler is a fabulous book boyfriend. He has the perfect balance of southern charm and ruggedness. He was a down home grounded kind of guy. I like that he wasn't all alpha, ... morehe didn't have to have a foul mouth to make him sexy. He was just a guy-- a hot, sweet and sexy guy.Savannah's character was great too. This was a country girl that had become a city and almost forgot where her roots were. Again I like the simplicity of her character and i think that's what made her and Tyler so likeable. The Reeducation of savannah McGuire was a light read of rekindled relationships and true love. I can't wait to see where McLaughlin take the rest of this story.
review 2: THE RE-EDUCATION OF SAVANNAH MCGUIRE by Heidi McLaughlin: *I have been a fan of Heidi since the first book in the Beaumont Series. This novella was awesome. Tyler and Savannah are so cute. It started off rocky since she got back to town, but after a while her walls broke down and Tyler got to her. It took her remembering how they were as kids to make her realize that its always been him. Now her mother sends her to Paris early. I cant wait to see what happens to them when the second book comes out this fall!!FINDING OURS by Megan Smith: *Beautiful story of forbidden love because of what happened with their parents. I loved them through the years and was so happy for them. There were some tears shed, but it I was a happy at the end. Cant wait for the next book for the continuation :)THE STORM by Jennifer Foor:* WOW! Can I get more please? (to be continued) loved it!!ONE SOUTHERN NIGHT by Marissa Carmel:*Loved this story!! Kam and Laney are so good together. Shes a transfer student used to the city life and meets Kam who is in her chem class. Hes the popular football star of the school. he gets injured and its Laney that becomes his tutor. watching their friendship grow was so sweet. Loved how it all came together at the end. I hope we more of them or some of the other characters in the future :)DIRT ROAD SUMMER by Ashley Johnson:* This was the first time I read this author and I was hooked. After I finished this novella I went to her FB page and asked when was the next book coming out because that ending? omg! Can't wait to see what happens :)BEING NEIGHBORLY by Carey Heywood: *Cute story and enjoyed it from beginning to end. :) Beau has been hurt a few times. He loves the farm and country life and never wants to be anywhere else. In comes a new neighbor Bethany who is adjusting to country life since living in the city. They build a friendship and the attraction is there. Loved seeing their story unfold. This is a story you will love :)TANGLED VINES by Melissa Collins: *I have read all of Melissa's books and have loved them all. This novella was no different. Owen and Elle..loved their chemistry and how their relationship came to be. Melissa did a great job and this was one of my faves in this anthology :) less
