review 1: The first I've read from Davidson although I remember wanting to read her debut when Laura Lippman recommended it. I grabbed this at Audible when I couldn't find anything else, to be honest, but what a delicious surprise. Davidson is extremely talented in crafting characters that organically move the story along from one surprise to another. Davidson breaks out of the typical crime format and does amazing things for it. I enjoyed this so much and cannot wait to read more of her novels.

What he finds leads him untangle a complex web of deceit spun by all the players. BLOOD ALWAYS TELLS is a compelling and strange tale. The characters and their intricate connections draw you into the plot quickly and will hold you there until the ride is over. This is the first book I’ve read by Hilary Davidson, but I know it won’t be the last. The story is told through the eyes of three different characters, but all of the secondary characters are just as detailed and rich as the main characters.
