review 1: Such a powerful book. It takes the subject of a family in crisis and develops it so deeply. The story is touching and moving. The story was so riveting that I couldn't put it down. I kept reading because I wanted to know more and couldn't wait to find out what was going to happen next. I coud relate to so many of the characters and pictured them as people that I know or knew when I was younger. I love that the main character, Miranda, was a flawed person who showed great strength and weakness at different times. I definitely recommend this one without any hesitation!
review 2: teen pregnancy. so many shows are glorifying and horrifying it.This story doesn't glorify or horrify it...but that doesn't make it an easy read. It's like a band-aid. Open this story when
... more you have lots of time - because it's so painful to read you should just rip it off quick and read it all at once.and I did. although I appreciate that it's a cautionary tale - everything goes wrong...and wrong...and wrong. And it's so painful to read.but that's the good part of the story. Because that makes it honest and true. This is the REALITY, or at least close to, having a child while still in highschool.... less
