review 1: This is a fun, light-hearted read perfect for a summer at the beach. Kinsella’s modelling background and witty summation of the modern publishing industry (and its many entertaining dramas and scandals) set the perfect backdrop for a touching modern romance. Sara is a girl stuck in a rut – she wants more out of her career, and her relationship with the dull, inattentive Simon is definitely not headed for a fairytale ending. Enter bestselling author and recent divorcee, Adam Cooper, who’s got his own share of baggage to sort through. You can really feel the sparks fly between these two from their first meeting when Adam scorns the coffee shop in favour of a good, old-fashioned pub.Sara is a great, relatable heroine. You easily cheer for her as she learns more about he... morerself, and finds the courage to take chances not just when it comes to her career but when it comes to love as well. And I really loved Adam, who was the right mix of dashing, charming, and supportive – and who had some lessons of his own to learn. I also love the friendship dynamic between Sara and her flatmate/bestie Rosie, as they hang out, drink wine, and eat chocolates.Think Katie Fforde or Marian Keyes, and you’ll have a good idea of the sassy tone in which Kinsella tells this story. All in all, Tell Him About It is just the novel for a the perfect few hours of escapism. Happy endings are a given!
review 2: Sara has an all too familiar dilemma. Can she lay aside a good, not great, relationship with Simon and take a chance that 'great' may be out there somewhere? Does she settle for 'good' when she worries that 'good' may be all that is in her future, but knowing that good may never be good enough? Simon is going away for a week on business while Sara is spending the time on a publicity tour with the sexy, good looking author, Adam Cooper.Being with Adam gives her pause to examine her life, both professionally and personally. What will she discover about her career dreams and personal life after spending time with, the almost to good to be true, Adam? Can she risk good for great?I really enjoyed this book and also was appreciative of the glimpse into the publishing arena. less
