This song was written by George Gershwin and Ira Gershwin for the 1926 musical Oh, Kay! It was first recorded by Gertrude Lawrence in 1927. Frank Sinatra recorded the song in 1946. It was released as a single with Paradise on the B-side. In the UK the B-side was I Dream Of You. Paul McCartney was a fan of Frank Sinatra and liked Someone To Watch Over Me. He produced a version recorded by Mary Hopkin for her 1969 album Post Card.
