review 1: The next parts of Isabel are already ordered and on the way to me:)It would be 5 stars even but there were moments that I just couldn't stand Isabel's naivety, her Faith in some people although it was obvious those people are not too good, fact that she didn't let other to tell what they have to say and thus getting in more problems. I think I haven't met such an accident - prone heroine before and although it was very nice to read, there were moments that it was obvious that she's going to get herself into much more troubles.There were some parts of the book that perhaps shouldn't be started at all, as they didn't develop or ended too fast, like for example the boyfriend, what's-his-name. The problem that Isabel's father has with her, hello, what was that about? He exagge... morerated a little, really. The plot itself was a little cliche, very predictable but nevertheless, has put me away from my problems and let me laugh a little. Good for me:)Sure, Isabel is just like Becky Bloomwood, just imagining what's going to happen and actually doing nothing towards it, but to be honest, I find Isabel more likeable than Becky.
review 2: I bought it and the sequel because they were on clearance, glad I didn't pay full price. I found myself actually SKIPPING part of the book which is really not like me at all. Tryong way to hard to be a Bridget Jones or a Shopaholic. The ditzy British girl act is over played. I mean, if this is your lifes dream, to be a novelist, wouldn't you actually try and write a book instead of doing everything in your power to not do the work? It's weird. I haven't read the second installment yet, but I will at some point, just in no hurry. I do not recommend. less
