review 1: I received this book as part of the goodreads firstreads giveaway. This is a sweet funny story about a former small town beauty queen turned big city senators aide, and what happens when she has to return to her small town to try to convince a English lord to build a factory elsewhere. There were many twists and turns that cumulated in a funny and entertaining ending. Based on this book I want to read the other Last Chance novels.
review 2: I was a first read winner of this book and I have to say I quiet enjoyed it. I read some reviews that refer to this book as a Christian romance. I never felt that I was preached to, which is something I don't enjoy. I was just lucky to read a nice story about quirky characters, that make you laugh out load, in a small t... moreown in South Carolina, that overcome everyday obstacles. So if you like a romance novel that is not too heavy on the sex, than this is for you. less
