review 1: Winkin', Blinkin' and Nod! I loved this story! Both the hero and heroine were very layered and intriguing and the subplot about family function (and dysfunction) felt very real. I didn't care for the secondary love story much, especially when I was in points of view other than the hero and heroine's. There also seemed to be a cast of thousands there for a while and I kept getting confused over which old southern lady was which. All in all, I would recommend this story and read more from this author!

Mike Taggert a professional gambler in Las Vegas comes to Last Chance looking for his half brother Pastor Tim after his sister Angie is killed. He ends up with custody of her d... moreaughter Rainbow a 5 year old plus a cat named Tigger who she is attached too. Mike figures she would be better off with Pastor Tim. While they are trying to figure all of this out he moves in next door to adorable Charlene who seems to have a way with Rainbow bringing her out of her shell. Charlene inherits three cute kittens that were left on her door step. Find out what happens to Rainbow and the other colorful characters by reading the book today. A very hard book to put down. Never a dull moment in Last Chance. Looking forward to the next book in the series. less
