review 1: I'm surprised by the simplicity of the story and how much I have come to like it. It is a simple love story between a girl, and a guy who is completely unavailable. I kept asking, "and what?" "you love him and you're... a vampire, magician, dead, what? That can't be it, right?" It took a while to get used to the idea of it being a normal story with no extra frills. haha!Anyway, the story is fairly sweet and endearing. It explores the complexities of getting, maintaining, and letting go of relationships. Sakisaka does a fairly good job of capturing those complexities.
review 2: I probably wouldn't like this as much if it weren't such a quick read, but as is, the whole thing goes by so fast I don't mind that there's practically no plot and it's all about fee
... morelings. Ninako is an easily swayed girl who is trying to figure out who she is and what she feels - particularly her feelings towards Daiki, her long-time good guy friend and towards Ren, the pop star-like guy who all the girls at her school worship. By accident, Ninako has caught Ren's attention causing her to realize what a truly nice guy he is and it's not long before she's fallen hard. But where does that leave Daiki? Since this is a complete series at 10 volumes, I'll probably go through the whole thing - it reminds me of Hot Gimmick and MARS, both of which I've read and enjoyed. less

Intriguing enough story, I'm just not into the girl mooning over a mysterious boy story right now.

Enjoyed it. Had a few laughs. I look forward to reading the next volumes.
