review 1: "Taken by the Vikings" by Isabel Dare - ReviewI really enjoyed this book, the sex scenes are well written and i liked the instant attraction between the main characters Thorvald and Edric.I loved the descriptions of the vikings with their 'braids white as salt' and 'arms thick as masts'. I was hoping for a description of Edric but i coulnt find any. Its a shame but luckily my imagination is good at supplying these kinds of thingsIve always had a kink for viking stories and this one ticks all the boxes. The only negative is that its a very short read - it does end well but I really wish it was longer. I would have given it 5 stars if it was longerIm looking forward to reading the authors other work - i'm hoping there is more about Edric and Thorvald!
review 2: ... moreI am an author and new to reading gay erotica as a straight woman. All I can say is WOW. The story is well written and develops naturally. Edric is a likeable character and it is HOT HOT HOT to be inside his mind as he is taken by the rough Vikings again and again. He wants it, even though it scares him (and rightfully so- these Vikings are not gentle even though they are sexy as all get out). The author clearly expressed what it is like to completely loose control completely. Like Thorvald, I will be back for seconds. less
