review 1: "The Spooky Wheels on the Bus" is a version of the original, but made to be read during Halloween. It's a fun, colorful, interactive book which includes counting and repeating. It starts with, "one spooky bus go Rattle and Shake, etc....and ends with ten goofy ghosts say Boo-oo-oo, etc" So when the action words are said aloud, the children can repeat them after the teacher instructs them to participate. It also helps them learn to count because on each page with a number of something, the children can point out where the pictures of that number are and count together. It seems like a fun little book to read when Halloween rolls around and can get the children involved and excited to listen.Learning Experience:Split the children into ten different pairs. Give each of t... morehem a laminated picture of the number that they will be participating in. For example, Eight wacky witches, the students will have a picture of 8 witches. When reading the story aloud again, have the students stand up and move with their picture when their number is said. This will allow students to feel involved with the book and become an important part of the book when reading out loud.
review 2: One of my 4-year-old's favorite books is "Wheels on the Bus" so he was delighted to see "Spooky Wheels on the Bus" for Halloween! It's easy to sing along and the pictures are cute and entertaining. My son liked finding all the Halloween things on each page. It's a counting song so each verse goes up a number: 1 spook bus, 2 white wipers (bones), 3 noisy cats, 4 glowing wheels (jack-o-lanterns), 5 big spiders, 6 singing mummies (with babies, of course), 7 silly monsters, 8 wacky witches, 9 magic brooms, 10 goofy ghosts."One spooky bus goes Rattle and Shake, Rattle and Shake, Rattle and Shake. One spooky bus goes Rattle and Shake, all through the town. Two white wipers go creak, creak, creak; creak, creak, creak; creak, creak, creak. Two white wipers go creak, creak, creak, all through the town." less
