review 1: This is a strange, but entertaining tale about a vegetarian vampire who really likes candy. The narrative is short and fun to read aloud although the fact that Dagmar is a vegetarian seems to be beside the point. The digital illustrations are cartoonish and not scary at all, although I am not a huge fan of them. We enjoyed reading this book together, and even if it's not a particular Halloween favorite, it's a fun, quirky story.

I loved the illustrations and the theme for this book, which I chose to be "fear of the unknown" because Dagmar had never encountered a human being before and when he did, he freaked out. However, when the human excepted Dagmar (despite knowing that he was in fact, a vampire), Dagmar made the decision that humans were in fact pretty decent people. less
