review 1: The author is coming to visit my school this week, so had to do a quick speed read. I was impressed with the book and series. It is published by the same publisher as Fablehaven and Leven Thumps and it is similar in nature. In the beginning book, Marcus is an orphan. He is crippled and in a wheelchair and struggles with his differences. He dreams of a place that he calls FarWorld. Little does he know that FarWorld exists, and he is connected to it. In FarWorld, a magical place, there is a girl named Kyja who can't do magic and is shunned for that. Together, the two of them will join together to fight a battle against evil. Along the way they will find friends and enemies. The story moves quickly and has lots of humor and action. It is a bit dark in spots, but so goes fanta... moresy stories about good and evil. I would recommend this book to 6th grade and up, to any person who likes magical fantasy.
review 2: I highly recommend this story! This book has it all...fantasy, suspense, humor, friendship, adventure, and over-coming the bully!Twists and turns are written so well you are caught up in the story and find yourself reading page after page much longer than you originally planned because...you must find out what happens next! This book is definitely one of my favorite fantasy books :) less

So much fun to read, and it never got boring. Plus, there were some pretty hilarious parts. :)
