review 1: I Must say i was expecting more from this book i will release some spoilers but bear with me okay so apparently the girl that can't do magic after she steals someone elses magic is apparently a master wizard and later on in the book shes apparently a master swordsman that can keep up with Farworlds Strongest Warrior that also uses magic to fight so apparently she is better with a sword than the best swordsman in farworlds history.. She as far as i can tell is the only one that can control the world jumping... I just don't see why the guy is the main character if i didn't know better i would think the author is a feminist which i don't know better but it's a guy i mean i swear it's like they are constantly putting the guy down i mean he finds out he has magic it gets taken ... morei found it hard to finish this book for the simple fact is the girl acts like she needs him but he's just a burden for her and the fact that shes so naive i suppose it's the good old "fairy tale" setting possibly but still it wouldn't be so bad if the author had a sense of equality he honestly makes me hate almost all the characters except the Elementals and i don't hate Marcus but i'm getting to where i don't exactly like him either i know it's the authors fault for making him so weak and pathetic and putting him down all the time but still it's frustrating for me especially since i like his personality I've been wanting to read the farworld series for a long time i finally get the books and it's kinda a letdown don't get me wrong the plot and everything is nice but the author is definitely playing favorites and if your a feminist you will definitely enjoy this book.
review 2: - This adventure was even more thrilling than the first book! I really enjoyed this!- I love the cover! I was a bit confused by it for a while, but after about half way through the book I was like "OH! That's who they are!"- Mr. Z reminds me of an Ed Wynn character. I kept hearing his lispy voice.- Some parts of the story were like reading a video game! My hands were itching for a controller! I was like "I could do that!" I think Farworld should be made into an RPG!- I felt a lot more emotion in this book than the first one! I was excited, sad, apprehensive, angry, and more! I loved it! - The fight at the end is so epic! I also loved the banter that was going on, so hilarious! The fighting was awesome as well.- I love the land elementals! They are so cool! I also love how they thrive on knowledge and learning. - I LOVED the strengths and weaknesses ideas. Strengths can become weaknesses, and weaknesses can be strengths! I love that! I also love the theme of pairs! It takes 2 to get through things. Combining strengths and weaknesses with others can achieve so much! It reminds me of a marriage. I hope to accomplish this kind of thing with my husband.- The end has a bit of a twist, and I can't wait to get my hands on Air Keep!! less
