Osric's Wand
review 1: I really enjoyed this book, enough that I've read it a couple of times now. It contains a world where animals are sentient and coexist with people. Everyone is gifted with the same measure of magic and everyone is capable of harnessing it through a specific gift. The story surrounds characters that are shown a different way to use magic. The main characters, three humans and two prairie dogs, encounter magic, unicorns, dragons, dwarves, and giant eagles. While the story itself was shorter (that may have been because I read the kindle version though) it was well written.
review 2: I wasn't sure what to expect with Osric's Wand Book One, but what I found was an exciting tale full of adventure, intrigue, magic, and fantasy. The book begins with a conference fo
... morer the signing for peace when the conference is attacked. Osric needs to find out what is going on and finds help from some unlikely friends. The author does a great job of developing the Osric character throughout the story by allowing him to become more confident in not just his newfound abilities but in himself as well. The book is about the journey of not just one man finding his own potential but of everyone working together for a common goal: peace. The book was well paced and left open for future adventures. Overall a great read. less
