review 1: I'm not sure what to think of this novel. On one hand the novel could easily have been incorperated into a few chapters of the next work in the series as it was too short to constitute a proper story but could have been a good start to the subsequent novel. On the other hand the story was fastpaced and slightly captivating. I will read the next book in the series without a clear idea of what to expect from the author. I think it is fair to give the author another chance to show he can create a thrilling storyline as this one was far too short to make an infoirmed judgement.
review 2: Silkstone gave me what I wanted with this story. I've read some other authors that I've talked to and I didn't really expect too much from him but he surprised me with being a goo
... mored writer. It was serious most times and had funny bits that were needed. I can't really say why I gave it three stars, I just felt like it was missing something, although I can't think of what. It is a short story/novella so maybe I just wanted more background about the characters that I'll hopefully find in the novel. Good action and good story. I really like the concept of a rouge assassination group to take out the evil doers in the world. This is the story of how it was started and leads into his full length novel which I haven't read yet...yet. less

Ok as a short story or a start for something longer but everything was too easy for the heroes.
