review 1: Don’t mess with Dargos. He is the vampire… vampires have nightmares about. Especially, with his two brothers with him. He finds Liam on death’s door, a half-ling. He hauls him away to make him his ‘pet’. There is more to Liam and Dargos’ relationship, that they let on to others. There are those who aren’t aren’t happy with Liam, the half-ling and see him as a weakness and wants him taken out of the picture.Even though this is a short, quick story. It is fast pace had is packed with details. The story flows well.
review 2: 3.5 starsShort paranormal story (vampires)Liam is a halfling (half vampire, half human) and as such is despised by both races. Left to die in an alleyway after being stabbed he is picked up by Dragos, a powerful vampi... morere coven leader. Dragos realises that Liam is his "mate" but because of his status a halfling it would be dangerous for Dragos to claim him as such, so instead for two years Liam pretends in public to be Dragos "pet". When Dragos cousins and fellow clan members stage a coup it's Liam who they use to try and break Dragos, but things don't go according to play and Dragos and Liam do get their happy ending. I am not a big vampire fan, but this was a well written enjoyable story less
