review 1: 3.5 starsWell... certainly not your average shifter book. Until you learn control and how to accept your wolf there is a lot of pain involved. Makes me feel like they aren't teaching the wolf community that if they don't fight so hard again shifting there would be easier.. that's besides the point..I was surprised that these two didn't figure out the mating thing besides a brief inkling that wasn't explored. Then there's the lack of sex with more emphasis on the relationship building between them.The hellhounds thou... that is a drawback to me. What is their purpose? Are humans aware of shifter and/or hellhounds? They have no bearing on going to the compound at all.. have to go to learn control either way..While the beginning being thrown into this world came as a tad awkw... moreard, I'm looking forward to more in this world.
review 2: I loved this story and I can't wait for the next sequel.No insta love or having sex 2 minutes after they met, the plot was slightly different from the other shifter stories that I read in the past. For example the shifting can be very painful and they have to go to a compound to get the help they need to learn to shift. Quite interesting story line, perhaps I'm too easy to please.Never mind, it was quite enjoyable. less
