review 1: This is another self-published book that should have never been offered for sale. It is very amateurishly written and filled with grammatical and structural errors. The writing style and word choices seem to be those of a thirteen-year-old. The plot development is minimal, and the dialogue is extremely stilted and unnatural. It would take a lot of revising and editing to make this book worth the time to read - I abandoned it at 60% completion.
review 2: Nice setting for an exotic murder story, but very weak writing and rife with errors desperately in need of editing. I would encourage the author, when at the rough draft stage, to check and make sure general points are not repeated again and again as if they are new information. Try to flush out your characters
... more more so we start to care one way or the other about them--at least the main ones, please. More specific details and description might have helped the basic plot idea--which had promise--it is the execution (not of the victim but of the creation of the novel) that needs a lot more work. When I read books like this and then se that there are already three completed in the series, I sometimes wonder if more people shouldn't recommend to first time authors they 1) get an editor 2) take the novel through several drafts and 3) wait to get feedback on the first novel that might possibly help in the creation of subsequent ones. less

I enjoyed the story but it was very poorly edited! Many many mistakes in spelling, punctuation, etc.
