review 1: Angelina has always believed that she doesn't need a man in her life. Sex, sure but a relationship and a happily ever after were never on the cards for Angelina.Moving to London to accept a job as an estate agent, Angelina literally collides with Seth Jacobs, a sexy as sin property developer who happens to be her new employers largest client. From their very first meeting Angelina feels an attraction to Seth that she knows could send her "don't need a man, Don't need a relationship" motto to hell. Desperate to avoid this, Angelina does everything she can to put Seth off but Seth is very persistent and determined in his pursuit.Battling ghosts from the past, an awful 'meet the parents' episode and Seth's legion of bunnies it finally seems that Seth and Angelina have worked ... moretheir shit out when BOOM! the rug is pulled out from underneath us with a jaw dropping twist. This book was fast paced and well written. The characters are very likeable - for the most part (there were times when I wanted to shake Angelina) and there is just the right amount of humour, intensity and intrigue.I want my own Seth The Dick lol - #ifyouknowyouknowI really enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend it.
review 2: I have no idea what this was, but it wasn't good. Grammar issues (past/present, possessive vs plural; awful dialogue; lots of telling rather than showing and a really dramatic plot. Gah. It was like reading a soap opera.Spoilers! So much goes on in this book that I can't possibly type it all. In a nutshell, this started out as a story about Angelina who moves to London to work for a family friend's estate agency. She meets a Seth, a client and a known playboy, who continuously pursues her despite her anti-relationship protests. He borders on stalker, but she does like him, enough that it scares her which is why she says no so many times yet still plays along in this game. She has a traumatic past, and emotional issues, and as it turns out, so does he. Her past comes back to beat her up after he's released from prison for the first time (although the author states he was in for life, apparently he wasn't). And they get through that. They then move on to meeting his parents and his mother hates her. Then they're about to get married and they throw in another twist where it turns out his parents and her parents knew each other which has repercussions on their relationship. Gah. It was too much to keep up with. The only positive thing about this is that I couldn't predict what was happening.I didn't find either character romantic. While I usually hate multiple POVs, I think this book have benefited from this technique. less
