review 1: Started off great. Thought it was going to be a bit cheesy just from the premise. But the characters came alive right from the get go which made the premise exciting. Sadly, about 300 pages in things fell apart and it became more of a templated Hollywood action flick with a cool premise. I was really thinking at the beginning that I had a found another author that I could go and track down his other books and devour.
review 2: Second book in the author's Pantheon trilogy, though both books so far work as stand-alone. I don't know if the third book will tie into the others, but I doubt it. ... morey fast paced after about a third of the way in. The first third of the book is more the technical aspects, and the author left me with a sense of child-like glee in the mechanical aspects of describing things, which was neat. All sorts of interesting twists and turns make for a fun read! less

Pulp fiction and good for a long airplane ride. Leave it in the seat when you're done.

Didn't interest me at all. More action than lore.
