review 1: Just finished this and ... WOW. Such a thrilling story, with interesting characters and an epic adventure they're leading. The last few chapters have probably the most plot twists in any book I've ever read ... ever. Honestly. And it's fantastic because you just race through the final chapters, desperate to know what's going to become of the charcters you've come to love. That feeling of adrenaline - when you're stomach is heavy with anxiety and dread - is the most horrible, yet most incredible feeling in the world to me and this novel supplies you with all that and a WHOLE lot more. ... mores not riveted, and there were parts of the book that had me rolling my eyes with the same impatience I am feeling toward YA in general at the moment. Overall I liked the feel of the book, but the depth of the characters wasn't there, nor did the relationships between them seem overly convincing. less
