review 1: I LOVED IT SO MUCH! breezed through the pages because the plot was captivating, the writing was easily understood, and there's a lot of humour in it. i really like the dynamic between May, Jack and Philip, and no one is the burden of the team and no one is more superior than the rest. so glad that I managed to find the title after reading it many years ago. can't wait to read the other two books in the series!
review 2: It was a cute fairy tale mash-up but after reading another book of the same sort right before it which had many more original fairy tale characters included in the story, this was was a little bit disappointing to me. I did like the twist at the end and the plot moved along nicely, but something was missing for me. I don't think I'll be reading... more the sequels, but it was still cute enough to be worth a read for those who absolutely love fairy tales. less
