review 1: Willoughby's Return was a very easy book to read. I recommend it if you like Jane Austen fan-fiction. Although predictable, I enjoyed the reading experience. I thought the author, Jane Odiwe did a remarkable job of staying true to the style of Jane Austen and the Regency period. I will be reading more of her work. This book made me want to re-read Sense and Sensibility, which I did recently on a long flight to New England. Also, I have been watching all my favorite BBC versions of the Jane Austen adaptations! This book is very clean and suitable for young adult.
review 2: This was better than I thought - I wasn't thrilled about the idea of Marianne being tempted by Willoughby but I thought her reactions were well supported and natural. I liked Margaret's story
... more also although I thought some of Henry's actions a little unrealistic at certain points . . . I can't elaborate without giving away the plot. The ending was a little too easy of a fix in Colonel Brandon and Marianne's relationship. In general I felt like the author has a good grasp of human nature and jealousy and altho I hadn't thought of it before it made sense that it may be difficult for Marianne to be jealous of Colonel Brandon's ward and Willoughby's child being a part of their lives. The characters for the most part felt like Austen's characters and the language and descriptions were well done. It wasn't a fantastic book but actually was one of the more naturally written Austen sequels I have read. less

Beautiful true love story. Marianne remains in love Colonel Brandon.

Boring. Pretty sure I've read like 10 versions of this book before.
