review 1: I am not usually a mystery reader but this book is an exception. I received this as a prize from Criminal Elements "Death Makes the Cut Sweepstakes". Even though this is the second book for these characters, the author included just enough review to bring you right up to speed with the character dynamics. Both the characters and the events kept me guessing right to the end. The romance adds just the right spice in a most down to earth manner. Excuse me while I go to see if I can get Joyce Hamrick's first book, "Death on Tour" and find out if she's started the next book in the series. You just can't leave a heroine choosing between two hunks, forever :)
review 2: Jocelyn Shore is back at it again. She's back home and getting ready for the start of the school yea
... morer. Her biggest concerns will be lesson plans and grading, or will they... Murder once again manages to creep into her life and quickly Jocelyn is coaching tennis and solving crime. Add in an attractive and persistent Detective Colin Gallagher and you have the makings of a great, and somewhat romantic murder mystery. Janice Hamrick has written a great follow up to Death on Tour and I can't wait for the next book in the series. less
