review 1: This is a readable and entertaining cozy mystery. It is the first novel from this writer and I look forward to more in this vein. The description of the tour was detailed and makes me want to cruise down the Nile! Agatha Christie started the touring murder mystery and there have been plenty of imitators over the years. However I never get tired of a good mystery set in an exotic location with a brunch of mis-matched characters, although somewhat stereotyped. Recommended as a good wet weekend read!
review 2: Really loved the theme - all the Egypt references and descriptions of the tours. The mystery was ok. I figured both parts before the ending. The protagonist and her sidekick Kyla were ok but I really thought some of their actions were a little off. The ro... moremantic story ending felt weak to me. Overall, I gave it three stars and I might read another in the series to see how the characters develop. less
